Arabic Intensive Modular Pathway (Year 3)

Course Description

The programme incorporates modern and classical Arabic as well as grammar. It is one of the most comprehensive coverages of classical Arabic and grammar available. In Level 7 students will build on the standard of language achieved in Levels 4-6 and progress on to studying more complex texts directly in Arabic and developing proficiency in the practical application of the language. This will be progressed further at levels 8 and 9 enabling students to be able to read fluently with a good understanding of a broad range of texts and be able to converse confidently using vocabulary of a broad range of conversational themes.

The year 3 of the Arabic Intensive Modular Pathway includes the following modules. For more information, please click on the relevant level.

• Arabic Intensive Modular – Level 7 
• Arabic Intensive Modular – Level 8
• Arabic Intensive Modular – Level 9

Duration:
36 weeks (108 hours in total) – delivered over 3 terms

Who is it for & what are the prerequisites:
You must have completed either the Arabic Intensive Modular Pathway (Year 2) or Arabic Intensive Modular Levels 4-6 or have acquired equivalent knowledge. You will need to commit to 3 hours of contact time per week and at least a further 3 hours of personal study.

Progression:
Students who complete this can progress onto the Alimiyyah Programme.

Assessment

Students will be assessed at the end of the course.

Course Delivery

This course is run either onsite or online. When registering, please choose your preferred option/platform. Please note, we may not have both options available in the same term.

All students will receive the relevant course details, materials 5 days before the course starts. This will include:

• Pdf versions of the course materials/notes by email

• Link to Google Classroom to interact with teachers, receive additional course material and information.

• Printed copies of course materials are available to collect for free from the college office on request.
