Course Description

Level 3 Arabic builds on prior knowledge from Level 2, but we warmly welcome motivated beginners who meet the prerequisites and are eager to learn, ensuring a supportive environment for all learners.

Duration:
12 weeks (36 hours in total), 3 hours each lesson

Prerequisites:
The ability to read Arabic and study the Arabic Intensive Modular – Level 2, or its equivalent. 

Progression:
Students who complete this course are encouraged to see their progress as a stepping stone toward Arabic Intensive Modular – Level 4, fostering motivation and a sense of achievement.

Course Brief

At level 3, the topics below will be covered in conjunction with selected chapters from books such as al-Kitab al-Asasi, Qasas al-Nabiyyeen, along with tailor-made worksheets to help students apply their knowledge of the grammar concepts and develop a broad vocabulary:

1. Ghair Munsarif – The partially inflected nouns
2. Adverbial & Abstract nouns: different adverbs and adverbial usage
3. The cases (overview): The Doer, Passive Doer and Object
4. Subject & Predicate (detailed)
5. The Five nouns
6. ما و لاwhich resembles ليس
7. لاَ لِنَفْيِ الْجِنْس– Absolute Negation with Laa
8. المفاعيل– The Objects
9. -·إعْرَابُ الْاسْمِ الْمُتَمَكِّن Vowelization of the declinable nouns
10. Chapters of derived triliteral verbs – past and present with all the different forms
11. The changes that apply to the imperfect verb (mudhari):

• The letters of nasibah
• The letters of Jazimah

12. الْأَمْرُ Comprehensive amr; Al-mukhatab and al-gaib wal Mutakallim.
13. النهي Prohibitive verb.
14. The Derivative nouns
15. Introduction to the Further Classifications of Verbs:

• The weak verbs – Mu’tal: The Assimilated verb, The hollow verb and the defective verb

Assessment
Students will undergo assessment at the conclusion of the course to evaluate their progress and understanding.
