Course Description

The Arabic Intensive Modular Pathway is a three-year course designed for students who are committed to developing a strong foundation in both modern and classical Arabic. Through a structured study of the Arabic language and grammar, students gain the skills needed to access and understand the Qur’an, Hadith, and other classical Islamic texts in their original language.

The course provides one of the most comprehensive studies of classical Arabic and grammar available. Across nine levels, students progress from building core language skills to studying increasingly complex Arabic texts directly. By the end of the course, students will be able to read a broad range of classical and contemporary texts with confidence, understand them with fluency, and communicate effectively in Arabic across a wide variety of conversational topics.

Duration:
The course runs over 3 years and is delivered across three terms each year, with 36 teaching weeks annually. Classes take place once a week and each lesson lasts 3 hours.

Who is it for & what are the prerequisites:
The Arabic Intensive Modular Pathway is designed for students who can already read the Qur’an fluently and are ready to begin a structured study of the Arabic language.

A prerequisite for this programme is the ability to read Arabic fluently. If you do not yet meet this requirement, we recommend enrolling on our Introduction to Arabic & Tajweed course, which is designed to prepare students for progression onto the Arabic Intensive Modular Programme.

Progression:
The Arabic Intensive Modular Pathway is designed to prepare students for progression to the Alimiyyah Programme, equipping them with the Arabic language skills and grammatical foundation required for the in-depth study of the Islamic sciences.

Assessment
Students will be assessed at the end of the course.

This course is available either on-site or online, giving students the flexibility to choose their preferred platform. When registering, please select your option, knowing your choice is supported and respected, fostering a sense of control and confidence in your decision.
